Good Business in Bad Economy for Mobile Broadband Service Providers

11 02 2009

January and February is the time of the year when the companies release their fourth quarter results along with their annual performance report. This year, even amidst economic slump, mobile broadband communication providers are posting good results. O2, a Telefonica company, in a press conference announced that they are expecting good Q4 2008 results.

Prior to O2’s expected results release, Vodafone, on Tuesday, released their fourth quarter results, registering a 14% rise in their gross revenue. The company also saw their customer base increase by 449,000 in the UK. As per a New Media Age report, this rise in the subscribers is due to a 25% increase in data services.

CEO of Telefonica, Matthew Key, stated that they have been posting good results consistently and in view of Vodafone’s good results, they expect their performance to be good as well. Furthermore, Mr. Key asserted that his company is aware of the fact that customers these days are looking for more value oriented services and are hesitant to enrol for long-term services.

The good results for O2 mobile broadband in the mobile broadband communication segment are likely to be mainly due to growth in data services. Additionally, high performance 3G handsets and mobile broadband services have given good reasons to customers to spend. In a recently held poll, O2 ranked top in customer satisfaction for providing impeccable mobile broadband services. The company has now tied up with Samsung to launch new laptop bundles in 2009.

Be Taught about the Startling Condition that Is Hair Loss in Guys

10 02 2009

The most recognisable variety of male baldness is a continuous hair diminishing condition called androgenic alopecia more distinguished as male pattern hair loss that transpires in mature male humans and other sorts of species.

Plus, pattern baldness is also hereditary, and the DNA is given to a kid from either parent, not just the mum, as had been formally thought. Pattern baldness in men is the most general brand of hair loss, & normally causes a deteriorating hairline and baldness on the crown of the skull. The main cause of baldness in men is dihydrotestosterone, or DHT for short, which is a by product of the male hormone testosterone. A further effect of baldness in guys is hairstyle.

Hair loss is not simply a human attribute. Baldness is a condition where there is no hair present in the region where it forms, by and large this is on the head & happens in either humans and wildlife. Hair loss in blokes is prominent in view of the fact each gentleman bears a baldness causing factor in his body.

Hair loss is certainly an upsetting condition to accept, particularly for gentleman, where this is more particular. Males who are uncomfortable with their physical appearance might well select medication that can stimulate the regrowth of hair follicles and help to prevent more hair loss. Thinning hair is a growing problem for many men; let Advanced Hair Studio solve your problem.

What produces male-pattern hair loss is when the hair strands starts to disappear as a result of a build-up of the chemical testosterone & several of the natural compounds. What most people seldom understand is that the consequence of baldness are interrelated to an abundant of things that time & time again have little or nothing to do with hair development or hair loss. Male hair loss, male pattern baldness or androgenic alopecia, is an inherited form which produces male baldness or substantial male hair loss in more or less 66 percent of all males around the world.

Top 5 Low Cost Ways To Get More Sales Leads And Sell More Without Cold Calling

8 02 2009

Cold calling may now be outdated. People have become defensive to cold calls and not many respond to them anymore. Cold calling is now about rejection, getting rejected call after call until many salespeople, especially B2B salespeople, just get fed up and quit. There are other methods of generating business leads without cold calling, and many of them inexpensive and not too time consuming.

Here is my list of getting more sales leads and selling more without cold calling:

1. Create a website and advertise it. In this day and age, there is no reason why a business professional or entrepreneur should not have a website. Not having a budget for it is no excuse as you can, now, create your own website for under $100. For example, you can buy a domain name and website building software on godaddy.com for under $100, and that comes with easy to use website templates that anybody can use to build their own website. And, advertising is now cheap and easy as well. You can buy first page listings on google.com through Goggle AdWords. For example, if you were a commercial insurance broker in Portland you can buy a listing on Google for just 5 cents a click for the search phrase “Portland business insurance.” This means it would cost just 5 cents for each visitor Google brings to your website.

2. A new online sales lead generation website is trade-pals.com. Here, it is free to create a professional business profile in any business category and across all major North American cities. You just create a profile that says what you do, what type of business you want, who should contact you, and why people should contact you. If someone sees your profile and wants to do business with you, you will get an email stating exactly what they’re looking for and, from this, you decide whether you’ll purchase the person’s full contact info (name, address, phone, email, and URL) which is the sales lead. Each email you receive will be from someone that has seen your profile and already wants to do business with you so the sales leads are top quality.

3. You have business cards… use them; use them in creative ways. Every time I send mail, no matter to whom it’s to, I include a business card. Every time I eat at a restaurant, I leave behind a business card. Every time I meet someone new, I offer a business card. You never know if the next person that sees your card will require your services. Make sure your business card clearly states what you do.

4. Network at business functions and trade shows. Again, bring business cards.

5. Create a free classifieds ad on craigslist.org. Craigslist is the biggest classifieds ad site on the internet and every day thousands, if not millions of people visit the site. Classifieds ads on the site stay posted for 45 days, so you only need to create an ad every 45 days. The best part is, these ads find there way into Google’s search results so make sure your ad has keywords that your clients may be searching.

How to Overcome Telemarketing Cold Calling Barriers

8 02 2009

Sometimes making cold calls gives us a strange feeling in our gut. We become stuck, flustered and the phone turns into the heaviest dumbell you are ever likely to pick up. Unless you combat this feeling I’m afraid it only gets worse, even getting to the point where we are a nervous and hate the phone.

However, practice makes perfect and such reluctance is normally more evident in people that are new to cold calling and telemarketing in general. Well here’s the good news, cold calling doesn’t have to be the nerve tingling dreadful experience we all know it can be.

In telemarketing we tend to create our own fears. For example we may be put off making a call to a prospect because he’ll be offended if he’s busy, or if we call during lunch he’ll be upset, or he has probably been called a thousand times before about this particular product, deal or service. It is human nature to make matters seem worse than what they actually are, thereby creating our own fears.

As human beings we have great tendancies to make excuses, and this is especially so in the telemarketing profession. This can become a sticking point when it comes to cold calling or even when calling warm leads. We subconciously tell ourselves that we don’t have the correct resources to get the job done without some other form of external help. We may feel that we should send some more information first or ask them to fill in yet another survey.

Three tips for cold calling success

Don’t care what anyone else thinks – Separate yourself from that part of your personality that thinks cold calling is wrong and a bad way to find new business. Stop kidding yourself and telling yourself that there is a better way to drum up new prospects and business which suits your personality better, such as email, media advertising or direct mail. The real truth of the fact is that nothing is as effective as telemarketing when it comes to winning new business.

Define your reluctancies – decide that your call reluctancies can be managed effectively by highlighting tendancies and excuses outlined above. Use an approach that seeks to gain feedback from your calls, and will hopefully show that your fears are totally unfounded.

Tell yourself you CAN – in telemarketing it is necessary to tell yourself that you CAN make those calls, and when you do more new business will follow. Most tendancies and fears are based on a projection of what you think a prospect will say to you when you call. This fear builds to the point where one part of your personality tries to protect the other from what is only presumed harm, and in actual fact will more than likely prove to be a falicy.

Three Very Good Reasons Why You Do Not Want 10 Gigabytes of Web Space

8 02 2009

Shopping for a good web host for your business is risky. Sure, you can change it later, but it will cost you both time and money. As a business owner, you know that it is better to get it right the first time. When you sign up with a web host, it really pays off to have done your homework.

One of the companies I use and often recommend to my customers, Blue Host (www.getbluehost.com), recently added 10 Gigabytes to their feature list. I was dazzled, of course. But when my brain started working again, I immediately came up with three good reasons why I did not want it.

Reason #3: I will never need that much space.

Ten gigabytes is more than a hundred times more web space than I will ever need. Even a huge, moneymaking, Fortune 500 Company like Boeing, does not need that much space.

Think about it. How much space does a single web page need? Even if you fill it with useful information, pictures and illustrations, a web page will rarely exceed 40-50 kilobytes, pictures included. If we look at www.boeing.com, we find that their front page “weighs” less than ten kilobytes.

If you Google for “site:boeing.com”, you’ll also find that Boeing has 200.000 pages on their domain. If they all weigh as much as the front page, Boeing only need two gigabytes of web space. And this is a company that made $50.000.000.000.000 last year.

Reason #2: The bandwidth bill will suck me dry

Let’s say that I accept the 10 Gigabytes of space and use it all. I put up games and movies for download, I use it for backup and collaboration files, and I use it to store my family’s digital photo archive. Then I let give other people access to files, like letting family members look at their pictures.

Soon I will see my web site closed, due to bandwidth limitations, or receive a very large bandwidth bill from a very happy hosting company.

Reason #1: I forget the other features

It is very, very dangerous to find yourself drooling over one hosting feature. I’ve been there. I run several web sites at different hosts, and I had to learn the hard way. Three times I got burned because I was looking for the best offer for only one feature.

My advice to you, is to carefully consider every single feature that you need or might need in the future, like e-mail accounts, bandwidth, control panel features, ftp access, security solutions, backup solutions, e-commerce solutions and scripting languages.

What is included? What will cost me extra? What do they not offer?

Conclusion:
You will never ever need 10 Gigabytes of web space. Therefore, if you choose to use Blue Host, you should not base your decision on how much web space they offer. The fact that I am happy with them, should not matter to you either, because your needs might not match mine.

Bonus Tip:
If you end up with a host that offers 10 gigabytes of web space, make sure you make the most of it. Here’s three tips:

1. Use it to backup of your documents, images and software.

2. Store heavy files that you rarely need to look at.

3. Let it hold heavy files for those of your websites that have less web space.

I’m sure you can come up with more. Just remember what I said about bandwidth.

The Most Underused and Powerful Method of Lead Generation

2 02 2009

Developing an abundant supply of targeted referrals is the number one lead generation system used by top sales people.

The first step to implementing any successful lead generation system is to get your attitude right. Becoming a “Master of Referrals” requires the proper referral attitude.

Many sales people believe that by asking for referrals they’re putting people on the spot or being pushy. “I’ll wait and if they want to refer someone to me they will”. If this is your attitude you need to change it.

Do you care about the people you do business with? Does that caring come “from the heart” instead of from your pocket? Do you care about the products or services your client’s friends are buying? Do you believe your product or service is the best?

I figure your answer is yes!

If you truly believe your product or service is the best money can buy and you care about your clients and their friends, you’re doing them a disservice when you don’t implement this lead generation system of asking for referrals. If you don’t they may end up with one of your competitors who offers less benefit, protection and advantage as you do.

Your job is to make sure everyone in your client’s network is looked after by the best. So make sure that’s you!

You see, your clients are probably too busy to continually think about helping people in their network. By using a lead generation system of asking for referrals you’re giving them an easy way to help their friends. You’re making sure they get the same top quality products and services.

You’ve Got to Create a WOW Experience

Most sales people only try to satisfy their clients. Statistics show that two out of three consumers that were merely satisfied with a company will never return. If you only meet the client’s expectations, you’ll never see two thirds of them again and you won’t receive an abundance of referrals.

So how do you get a client to come back to you again and again? How do you get your current and past clients to give you a personal endorsement to their friends and relatives?

By implementing the second step of this lead generation system and creating a WOW experience! Make every clients experience special!

How many of your friends, family and business associates would you refer to a company that…

•Takes care of your needs better than you ever expected •Delivers more than they promise •Makes you feel special every time you communicate with them •Delivers amazing results for you

If you take the time to create a WOW experience for your clients, it’s very possible every one of them will be selling for you.

One of the easiest ways to get referrals is too continually over deliver. If you give much more than you promised, people will want to help you in any way they can.

Over delivering should be the way you do business. The referrals, thank you notes and new friends you make are the bonuses you receive for doing your job.

Make a genuine difference in people’s lives and you’ll always get lots of referrals.

Make it Easy, Fun and Enjoyable to Refer People to You

People don’t like doing difficult things unless there’s an incredibly rewarding benefit in doing so. Even then many people still won’t do something that appears too difficult.

Many salespeople’s clients are unsure about who to refer. Which means they have to do all the work by figuring out who to refer? So they may end up referring no one.

Make sure your clients know exactly who to refer. Otherwise you’re not going to get a high quantity or quality of referrals.

The third step of this lead generation system is give each client a good idea of who they could refer.

For example, The Realtor you recently purchased your home from could say to you…

“Do you know anyone who recently had a baby, got married or received a promotion and might be thinking about buying or selling a house?

If you do, I’m sure they could benefit from my services. After all you know how good my service is. So, please introduce them to us. If you do I’ll be sure to do something wonderful to thank you.”

You can see how this helps you know “exactly” who the Realtor is looking for.

So make sure you show a genuine interest in your clients, their families and friends. Make it your business that they receive the best products and services available, YOURS! Create a WOW experience for every client you do business with. Make over delivering your way of doing business. And make it easy for people to refer new clients your way by telling them who to refer.

Follow the three steps of this lead generation system and you’re on your way to creating an abundance of new target clients and becoming a Master of Referrals.

Simplify Your Web Site for Clarity and Ease of Use

2 02 2009

There are plenty of web sites out there in which basic elements of design are ignored. The viewer may experience overkill and frustration, instead of gently receiving the message or information. Here are some simple ways to help clarify your web site’s message for your company or organization. Use the web as a tool for sales, community contact, and to improve, rather than detract from a business entity’s image.

Choosing Your Images

Choose site images carefully. Collect simple illustrations or photographs that are in sync with company mission or philosophy. A few select images will have more impact than many images competing for the eye’s attention. Avoid images that are distracting or trendy. Don’t simply use graphics to be cool.

How many photos or images are appropriate? A good rule of thumb is one to two images per web page. Select photos and images as carefully as you select the text, and you’ll be on your way to a better site. The exception to the rule is for sites that market a large amount of products or contain many points of interest, where small thumbnail images may be more appropriate.

Placement of Images on the Page

Do you want the photo or graphic to be the centerpiece? The first thing the eye sees? If so, place it in the central position. If not, maybe the photo or graphic is related to some of the text, and it can be placed nearby this text to accentuate it. Remember, we read from left to right. Some say the left represents the past, the center the present, and the right the future. Content may be organized this way on the page intentionally, to heighten this resonance with the viewer.

Don’t let site images be a distraction or hindrance to understanding. Instead, they should blend well into site content and not be a contrast to the message on the page. Images should not compete with content, they should enhance it.

Image Quality

Images should look as nice and clear as possible. There is an important balance to keep between image file size and quality. Always keep in mind that the file size and dimensions of your images will ultimately control overall page loading time. A slow-loading site will be frustrating to any user. Generally, pages load from the top down, so it is an important point to remember not to design your pages with large image files that fill the top of each page.

Site Text

It’s important not to overdo the writing on a page. Consider how much the user will read and write site content to capture the typically short attention spans of the viewers. Be succinct, and most importantly: be clear. Write subheads and set them in bold, slightly larger type. Carefully placed subheads allow the casual viewer to scan the content of your site.

Write for Search Engines

Research your clientele, and your targeted audience, and always develop content that sells your products, services, or organization. If you or your organization are lacking the expertise to write good copy, hire a professional writer to do the job.

Some web specific writing techniques are important. Try to use select keywords on each page that will lead new users to consider your business or services. Write this text directly into your copy. The first 20 words of your web site text should be what you want people to see in search engine results as a summary of your site.

Site Organization

To simplify the user’s experience, set your site up so that he can get to the intended location easily with no more than three clicks. The overall design of your site must be clear and intuitive so the user can navigate the content easily. If you must use symbols to direct the reader, always attach some explanatory text for the user, so they know where clicking the symbol will take them.

These are just a few of the basics of effective and clear web design. These tips provide ways to guide the user around your site, rather than frustrate them. With site clarity and ease of use, your clients and prospects are educated about your products and services, and have more reason to purchase them.
