Soft Playing Is Not a Valid Flirting Technique

Soft playing is Not a Valid Flirting Technique When I see an attractive woman sit down at my poker table, my first thought is that I should try to win a really big pot to impress her. Unfortunately, not all of my fellow table mates embrace the same approach to the fairer sex. A disturbingly higher number of male players have taken up the practice of soft playing in order to flirt with attractive women. For a whole lot of reasons, soft playing is not and never will be an acceptable form of flirting. First of all, let’s look at what soft poker playing is. Soft playing is the practice of intentionally downplaying either your hand or your skill level to give another player a chance to win. In harsh terms, this is called collusion. In weaker terms, this practice is simply called really bad poker online strategy. Some misguided men think that soft playing will increase their chances with an attractive woman. The logic is that the woman will recognize that they let them win, and be kind in return. However, I have yet to find a woman in life who likes to feel like I let her win. Most of the times, actually, women resent this kind of patronizing favoritism. If you soft play, you can almost be guaranteed that the plan will backfire and the apple of your eye will walk away with another guy.
